Pomodoro Timer
Work in focused sprints, rest on purpose. Press start and let the timer handle the rhythm — focus, short break, repeat, long break.

Tip: keep this tab open — the timer keeps running. Sessions reset each day.
How the Pomodoro Technique works
The method is simple: pick one task, work on it for 25 uninterrupted minutes (one “pomodoro”), then take a 5-minute break. After four pomodoros, take a longer 15–30 minute break. The short bursts make big tasks approachable, and the breaks keep your attention fresh.
Why it works: a fixed, short commitment lowers the barrier to starting — the hardest part of any task. The ticking deadline also discourages the “quick check” of your phone or inbox.
Getting the most out of it
- One task per pomodoro. If a task is huge, break it down first — try the Eisenhower Matrix.
- Protect the block. Note any distraction on paper and deal with it on your break, not during focus.
- Respect the break. Stand up, look away from the screen. Breaks are part of the technique, not a reward you can skip.
